ACNH Fringe returns!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons dropped a massive update - and we're making full use of it!
Hi all!
It’s been about a year since our grand debut at Melbourne Fringe 2020 and ever since then we’ve been in a long hiatus (from a combo of personal events and lack of updates). In the past month, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise DLC has dropped - and we’re refurbishing the island to celebrate!
As you can see, we have a new logo - made by Karen Taylor who also made the Melbourne Fringe logo for last year’s festival. It’s not just this logo that’s new - we also have our own custom ACNH Fringe design made by Charlie, Queen of Atlantopia!
You can grab this custom design for yourself at MO-4YKB-CNYG-4FFH. Do also check out our Custom Designs profile at MA-7123-1876-4670 for other designs, such as the ones we made for Melbourne Fringe, Bar SK, and Slutwalk Melbourne! (I’m also working on recreating the First Dog On The Moon/Turnips By The Sea design from its original QR code upload.)
One of the most exciting updates to Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been Happy Home Paradise - a whole new side game where you get to design vacation homes for just about every villager and special character, as well as facilities for their enjoyment such as a school and a hospital!
We’re turning our island into a dedicated Fringe Fest Vacation Island with houses and venues to match. Come check us out through the Happy Home Network at RA-8219-6705-9209 - we have the Fringe Fest Flat White Cafe, the Art Institute, and villager-run venues such Katt’s rockstar amphitheater!
You can follow our progress live on Twitch on Sunday afternoons (circa 3pm AEDT/AEST). Miss a stream? Not to worry! You can catch up via our YouTube channel. In fact, we’ve already done a couple of streams (mostly so I could test my new setup) so there’s plenty of viewing already. (Please subscribe so we can hit 100 subscribers and give it a better URL…)
The streams will be pretty chill and mostly be me (the ACNH Fringe Artistic Director, Creatrix Tiara) building venues and checking out new features such as Brewster’s cafe and Kapp’n’s island tours. We may bring back the “festival” part of ACNH Fringe - stay tuned or let us know if you want to join in!
Thank you for your support in the past year and a half. I know it’s been pretty quiet but the 2.0 update has rejuvenated a lot of the player base and I’d love you to join us in our own rejuvenation too. Next week is our one-year anniversary - perhaps we will do something special.
See you in about an hour (or elsewhere on the Internet - we’re on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
