Hi everyone!
The new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update comes out today at 12pm AEDT! If you want to experience the new content today, do not launch the game until after you've downloaded the update. I learnt this the hard way when I started the game before the Earth Day update came in and missed out on our sloth gardener Leif. Those tears weren’t just in-game, they were also in real life.
(Thankfully some other players were able to rescue me from my tears and I got to MEET MY SLOTH BOY IN GAME and he was SO LOVELY)
Speaking of Sloth Boys - let’s start today’s round of artist announcements with the Sloth Priest himself, Bradley Storer!
Bradley Storer is a Melbourne-based musical theatre performer and cabaret artist, most recently seen in new Australian musical Post and as the villainous Chadbury in Queer Lady Magician. His critically acclaimed dark cabaret, Trickster, has also enjoyed multiple Melbourne seasons and toured to Adelaide Fringe. When not on stage, he dedicates his time to the Sloth God.
(Disclaimer: Queer Lady Magician was my previous major project and Bradley is one of my besties - though Leif runs a close second)
If you’ve seen the livestreams (catch up on YouTube!) you will have seen the Secret House - he’s our host for that house and may get up to shenanigans.
Our second artist for the day is Silica Rotherwood!
Silica Rotherwood is a child of the stars devoted to inspiring reverence towards nature and art. Through charismatic storytelling and an infectious innocent joy, Silica invites anyone willing to join them in reconnecting with the wonder we had as children experiencing the world anew. Silica believes that to behold our planet, stars, and selves with awe is to invite magic into our lives. You can follow Silica via Twitter as Hairy Mermaid.
We had a fun soundcheck with Silica yesterday and they regaled us with sweet stories about their adventures with nature and culture, it was pretty lovely.
It’s not too late to join Bradley, Silica, NEMESES, and Ella as part of the Fringe Fest Gala Stream! We’re still open to live and pre-recorded daytime content, especially now that the new update brings in more reactions and features. Dances, morning yoga, mini movies, cooking shows - get in touch to chat further!
In the meantime, get your tickets now and join us on 28 November 2020 10am-10pm AEDT!
More artist announcements tomorrow, as well as streams on Saturday with Emma Michelle!
